TIGHTLINES has created the next generation of fishing tackle with the invention of “Ultimate Vision” through TIGHTLINES new Nano-Infused Polymerization (NIP) Technology. Bass don’t have the UV filters like that of the human eye. That’s why they prefer darkness to bright sunlight. Therefore, the only way that Bass can protect their eyes from UV degradation is by retreating to shady areas such as stumps, submerged logs, vegetation, floating lily-pads, etc. “Ultimate Vision” is an ultraviolet (UV) vision enhancer that is focused on the wavelength of light that Bass use the most to search out their prey, but is transparent to fishermen’s eyes.
With “Ultimate Vision” TIGHTLINES is introducing the ultimate level of professional soft plastics with their original formulation …….breakthrough colors that filter light the same way that Bass see crawfish, worms, minnows, bluegill, and other bait fish. The Pictures above are the same pictures, but the light is broken down just like a Bass would see the reflection of the UV light in water. Can you recognize which lures are our “Ultimate Vision” lures? They look the same as all the other brands that were thrown into the pile in the first picture, but in the second picture they come to life.
Displayed graphically is the light absorption coefficient for water. Notice that the red light is absorbed faster than the blue light. In fact, when comparing red light to blue light, red light absorbs natural light 100 times faster than blue light. Notice that the UV light is absorbed the least, which is the reason that it penetrates the deepest in water and “reflects” the most. With the UV portion of the sunlight going as deep as 40 feet and the UV light being brighter than natural sunlight, the UV portion of the light is what the Bass are using to feed. Our testing proved this point. The majority of the natural sunlight is being reflected on the surface of the water, which is why it makes since that Bass are predominately using their UV eyesight.
Extensive research was conducted to isolate the major light wavelength frequencies that Bass see the best. These wavelengths lie below 400 nm, which is the lowest level of light colors that fishermen can see.
|Violet: 400 - 420 nm
|Indigo: 420 - 440 nm
|Blue: 440 - 490 nm
|Green: 490 - 570 nm
|Yellow: 570 - 585 nm
|Orange: 585 - 620 nm
|Red: 620 - 780 nm
Critical to Bass is the correct reflection of the light intensity. The competition, such as Berkley, promotes their fancy indoor testing facilities, which is useless due to the lack of UV sunlight. Whether it’s sunny or cloudy, UV light intensity remains constant. UV is not filtered out by clouds. UV light waveforms straighten out as they hit the water surface and penetrate the “deepest” of all light waveforms. Testing concludes that UV light can penetrate with maximum intensity up to 40 feet in depth with traditional water clarity. Natural sunlight rarely penetrates deeper than 5-8 feet.
How does it work?
All of the other soft plastic lures in your tackle box absorb and reflect only one color as light hits them in air or water. This can be seen easily as we look at the picture of the green pumpkin worms.
Light is absorbing certain visual light wavelengths and emitting a green pumpkin color. Unfortunately, in the past this was all that we understood about how bass see certain colors. But with the development of “Ultimate Vision”, research concluded that Bass see ultraviolet colors and respond 3 to 7 times better to UV colors over traditional colors. From this testing, TIGHTLINES developed the next generation of colors to imitate the food source that Bass focus on. Can you pick out the 10 worms from Tightlines?
Graphically, you can see that the green pumpkin is the only color that is put off, but with the “Ultimate Vision” lures, we have more color with the addition of the UV color additive. UV Green stands out and bass go crazy over them. It’s hard to see with our naked eyes, but it’s surprising how the “Ultimate Vision” lures look different once you put them in the water. They seem to just come alive!
Do the colors wear off?
The great news is that the color never comes off and you don’t have the hassle of carrying around large tubs to rejuvenate the worm like new scented products. Our product is simple. It’s not a coating. It never wears out because there is nothing to wear. TIGHTLINE colors are the same colors all the way throughout the body of the lure. Pictured below is a cross-section of the green pumpkin versus UV Green. Notice the UV Green is the same color all throughout the cross-section.
Cross section -
Traditional Green Pumpkin -vs- TIGHTLINES UV Green
“UV” Green comes alive during the suns UV exposure
and traditional “green pumpkin” is dead.
Cross section - Traditional Blue/Black -vs- Tightlines UV Blue
“UV” Blue comes alive during the suns UV exposure and
traditional “Blue / Black” is dead.
There’s never been a more deadly combination
of colors every developed.
How many fish can I catch on one bait?
That depends on the size of the fish? Predominately you will find that our new quality of soft plastic will last approximately 5 times longer than traditional soft plastic baits on the market. Not only do they have the next generation of color, they also are the toughest plastics on the market.
What color works best?
From our testing, this is a question that is hard to answer. There are so many variables to consider when recommending a certain color that we won’t even attempt to say. Water clarity, algae conditions, water depth, structure content, etc…….there is no way for us to predict just one color. That’s why TIGHTLINES is convinced that our initial introduction of colors are the colors that produced in a large assortment of the combination of water conditions. We hope to share more with our team on this topic as the product line evolves, but here’s a sample of what’s got the boys talking.
How long does it take to make one?
It takes over 24 hours to make just one worm. We never said the process was easy for us to make, but TIGHTLINES believes that once fishermen understand the quality of “Ultimate Vision”, no other brand on the market will be able to compete with TIGHTLINES propriety position. Each individual worm is packaged separately to minimize contamination and maintain the quality of each lure.
Fishermen that are fishing “Ultimate Vision” inform us that they would rather have “one” Ultimate Vision lure that 10 bags of what’s on the shelf. NOTHING COMPARES to the quality of TIGHTLINES!
Do these lures glow?
No, they do not! They reflect UV light. We’d like to keep it that simple. Several other companies produce glowing products. Our testing concluded that the glowing lures did not work well. Why not?......we think it is because crawfish, shad, worms, etc, don’t glow!.....light is reflected off of their scales and secretions.
